Carnival Cruise Line continues to monitor multiple ships potentially affected by Hurricane Beryl, confirming itinerary changes for one more vessel alongside the reversal of Carnival Liberty’s schedule. Currently, six Carnival cruise ships are either facing or have undergone adjustments due to the storm.

The impacted ships include Carnival Breeze (originating from Galveston on a 5-night journey), Carnival Horizon (departing from Miami for a 6-night cruise), Carnival Jubilee (setting sail from Galveston for a 7-night voyage), Carnival Liberty (embarking from New Orleans on a 7-night itinerary), Carnival Magic (commencing an 8-night route from Miami), and Carnival Vista (undertaking an 8-night cruise from Port Canaveral).

Most of these ships were originally scheduled for Western Caribbean routes, except for Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista, which were planned for Eastern Caribbean itineraries.

As concern among cruise passengers grows about Hurricane Beryl, now classified as a dangerous Category 5 storm, Carnival Cruise Line has been proactive in communicating the decision-making process regarding adverse weather conditions.

Meteorologist Amy Sweezey of Carnival Cruise Line emphasized, “Forecasts are subject to change, so decisions about potential adjustments are made closer to the time of departure, ensuring alignment with the most accurate forecasts.” Some itineraries have already been modified based on projected paths, with further changes possible as the storm’s trajectory is closely monitored.

While not all ships have finalized itinerary changes, Carnival Liberty has already adjusted its port order and sea day schedule to ensure smoother sailing. Similarly, Carnival Horizon has rescheduled its visit to Grand Turk, moving it up to Ocho Rios ahead of the expected impact.

Captain Arena assured guests that safety remains the top priority, promising to maintain a safe distance from the storm throughout the cruise.

Passengers are promptly notified of any changes through onboard announcements, cabin-delivered letters, or text alerts, depending on their current or upcoming voyage status. Carnival Cruise Line advises guests to stay attentive to announcements for the most up-to-date information and to ensure their contact details are updated to receive timely notifications.

Given the unpredictability of storm impacts, Carnival Cruise Line strongly recommends travel insurance for all passengers. Policies may offer coverage for missed ports, itinerary changes, travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
