Muir, representing Scotland, secured third place behind Kenyan Faith Kipyegon, who also set a world record, and Australian Jessica Hull at Stade Sebastien Charlety. Due to preparations for this summer’s Olympics, the Stade de France was unavailable for the event.

“I knew the world record was within reach after my recent fast run in Kenya. My goal here was to run my race and assess my form ahead of defending my title at the Olympics,” said Kipyegon.

“Before the competition, I felt confident about clearing 2.07m and possibly 2.10m,” Mahuchikh commented. “Signing Ukraine into the annals of world athletics feels incredible.”
