Tell us about CloEE

CloEE is an AI-powered SaaS specifically designed to enhance the productivity of discrete manufacturing companies of all sizes. CloEE focuses on real-time data collection, reducing emergency stops by up to 95% and improving productivity, reducing reject rates by 2 times and improving equipment efficiency by up to 30%. The CloEE SaaS involves predictive analytics, optimising operation modes and leading to substantial cost savings on equipment expenses. Drawing on the data collected, CloEE presents the possibilities of generative AI, paving the way for advanced technology management.

Our goal is to reduce carbon emissions by improving OEE and minimising manufacturing machines worldwide. Highly efficient businesses have chosen OEE continuous improvement as their primary management process. Having considered the lessons learned from connecting 25,000 machines in 25 countries, we offer CloEE – a new business model for efficiency and successful management of emissions:

  • A robust cloud-based solution for accelerated OEE and energy management;
  • 100 + CNC protocols and plug-n-play machines connectivity within less than 1 hour;
  • Best practices from hundreds of enterprises, built-in CloEE standard dashboards, and management reports.

How did you come up with the idea for CloEE?

The idea for CloEE emerged from our team’s extensive experience in Industry 4.0 projects, assisting 400 industrial enterprises across 25 countries. Our IT solutions have effectively managed a global network of over 25,000 machines.

Surprisingly, a staggering 70% of businesses fail to achieve a 40% equipment efficiency rate due to inadequate collection and analysis of information from their industrial machines. Still, in 1 out of 3 cases, data collection is done manually, leading to misinterpretation of data that is not reliable for strategic enterprise development. Since OEE directly impacts profitability, manufacturing companies must adopt effective strategies to manage their production machines and maximise their profits. According to report by McKinsey, the potential economic value of the Internet of Things (IoT) in factory environments could range between $1.4 trillion and $3.3 trillion by 2030. The greatest potential for value creation in these environments lies in optimising manufacturing operations, which involves efficiently managing various assets and personnel on a day-to-day basis.

We recognised the growing demand for simple and plug-and-play technologies in the Industry 4.0 market. We developed a tailored product that could immediately impact manufacturing efficiency and sustainability to address this.

Digital transformation is crucial for manufacturing companies, with 96% of enterprises indicating that IoT helped them maintain operations during the pandemic crisis, and AI integration has the potential to contribute to a 26% increase in global GDP by 2030, making it essential for businesses in the manufacturing industry.

Data collection is a key aspect of digital transformation. Many businesses face a lack of data and do not have a clear overall picture of their operational processes. Suppliers offer data collection and ERP solutions that typically require 18 months for implementation. This process is complex and requires a strong in-house IT team and outsourced consulting.

  • So the question is, how can you obtain data quickly?
  • What solutions can provide you with data in days or even hours?

We are committed to providing manufacturing enterprises with a transformative tool CloEE that aligns with their continuous improvement journey.

How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?

CloEE is a rookie startup, we are 8 months old, but we already have our first customers (end users and resellers) with an ARR of over 35k Euros, 20+ resellers and partners in leading manufacturing centers in North America, Europe, and APAC, and interest from enterprises and investors in CloEE and what we can achieve and bring to the world. Our goal for the first year is to get 100 signed customers and reach an ARR of €120k, and launch a new product that includes not only data monitoring but also predictive analytics and generative AI. We are already very close to this goal.

In a recent and fascinating case study, a leading global shipbuilder encountered the challenge of underutilised milling machines operated by three workers. To address this issue, they embarked on an Industry 4.0 transformation project, opting to implement CloEE cloud-based monitoring on five machines. The results of this Industry 4.0 initiative were truly remarkable: machine utilisation witnessed a considerable enhancement, rising from 47.5% in Week 40 to 61.7% in Week 43. This transformation resulted in an impressive 27% boost in machine utilisation for the identical product mix. Additionally, supervisors and managers sharpened their communication and data analysis skills, which positively impacted their decision-making abilities. Furthermore, the average processing time saw an increase, leading to a remarkable annualised revenue increment of nearly $1 million within just three months of using CloEE.

This case exemplifies the positive impact of embracing digital solutions like CloEE, fostering a performance-driven culture, and continuously improving processes through technology, data utilisation, and effective communication.

This year, our CloEE team received notable recognition for its exceptional contribution – we were honored with the People’s Choice Energy and Innovation Awards. In addition, the F6S platform recognised CloEE as the first of the Top 10 Emissions Monitoring Startups and Companies worldwide, further strengthening its position as a prominent player in the industry. Stay tuned for updates.

What can we hope to see from CloEE in the future?

We aim to be a global leader in industrial digitalisation and sustainability tracking. We aim to transform enterprises with a one-button solution, enabling data-driven decisions and increasing production efficiency by at least 20%.

Additionally, we help manufacturers achieve the UN’s 4 Sustainable Development Goals, reduce CO2 emissions, and create attractive digital workplaces for the younger generation. We have best practices reports and analytics that helps customer to benefit quickly from using our service. Our mission is to improve efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness in the manufacturing industry.

We humans consume products from manufacturing companies on a daily basis that we don’t even think about, for example, did you know that many pieces of jewelry were made with CNC machines and machining operations? Or when you ride on a train, do you have any idea how some of its parts were made, or who is the supplier of the blades that drive airplane engineers, or any other products? With approximately 10 million businesses worldwide, we plan to connect a significant part of this market to CloEE, similar to SalesForce’s impact in its segment. We are committed to supporting the manufacturing industry and making a positive impact on humanity.
