Yellow weather warnings for wind and rain are in place this weekend across the UK due to strong winds, heavy rain and potential flooding.  Some areas of the UK could be set to experience winds of up to 75mph across Saturday and Sunday (December 30 and 31).  Other parts could get up to 50mm of rain which may result in flooding. A new study from Lawson Health Research Institute and Western University published in the journal Microbiome has found changes in the microbiome in multiple locations in the body are linked to the formation of kidney stones. The human microbiome comprises trillions of microorganisms, including healthy bacteria. In recent years, research has begun to uncover its role in health and numerous diseases. The research team examined the gut, urinary and salivary microbiomes in 83 patients who had kidney stones and compared them to 30 healthy controls. People are being encouraged to “see how justice is done” with the launch of a new Government guide on how to attend court hearings. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) hopes the “how to” publication will help people observe some of the two million or so court and tribunal hearings that take place each year. A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind is in place from 11am until 3am tomorrow, with gusts along the south coast expected to reach up to 75mph in some places.
