Kent all-rounder Joey Evison has headed out on loan to a County Championship Division 1 side.
Evison, 24, will feature for Leicestershire – where he previously has spent time on loan in 2022 – having only featured once for Kent Spitfires in the first round of Vitality T20 Blast South group games this year.

He is expected to be available for the Foxes when they host Essex from tomorrow and then welcome Yorkshire to Grace Road, seven days later, before returning to Kent for the resumption of the Blast.
“This is a good opportunity for Joey to play Division 1 cricket and, at this stage of the season, second-team cricket drops off, making regular first-team cricket increasingly important,” said Kent director of cricket Simon Cook.
“This loan gives him the opportunity to gain valuable game-time to strengthen his case to return to what is now a very competitive group.
“We look forward to following his progress over the next couple of weeks and welcoming him back afterwards.”
Former England under-19 international Evison joined Kent, initially on loan, four years ago.
He helped Kent win the One-Day Cup before he started a three-year deal at the county from the following summer.
