Jansky Very Large Array (VLA), astronomers have discovered a millisecond pulsar in the globular cluster GLIMPSE-C01 as part of the VLA Low-band Ionosphere and Transient Experiment (VLITE). Geoff Rutland, who had served as a Tory councillor on Seaford Town Council, announced in an email to other councillors he could “not be associated” with the “inept and incompetent” government and will now serve as an independent. Police were called to London Road in Brighton on Thursday afternoon (December 28) following reports of criminal damage at a premises. A witness said they saw three police cars and five officers at the scene of the incident at around 1pm on Thursday. Katie Budgen, 44, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with criminal damage and with obstructing or resisting an officer.
