The four-member team is developing computational models in the cloud, aimed at revolutionizing lab-based research and development of antibody therapeutics. Their modelling framework is already showing promising results, capable of reconstructing hidden molecular data in biopharma patents and predicting the developability of new antibody sequences. This is a significant step in a drug development process that typically takes a decade and costs around $2 billion. These advancements are part of IridescentBio’s broader goals, which include biopharma IP generation, patenting, and predicting biosimilars and biobetters. Antibodies, essential to the immune system, are a major focus in biopharma. Engineering antibodies for specific…

However, the fall is unlikely to start a bear phase. Look Into Bitcoin creator Philip Swift said that…
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide, and vision loss, due to the loss of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs), cannot currently be reversed with any treatment. Some studies have looked at replacing RGCs through cell transplants, but this process is still in the research and development stage and fraught with limitations that highlight a need for a more precise manner of effectively repopulating these cells in the retina. Now, a multidisciplinary team led by researchers at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear has identified a promising new strategy for glaucoma cell replacement therapy.…

When searching for flights on Google, you may have noticed that each flight’s carbon-emission estimate is now presented next to its cost. It’s a way to inform customers about their environmental impact, and to let them factor this information into their decision-making. A similar kind of transparency doesn’t yet exist for the computing industry, despite its carbon emissions exceeding those of the entire airline industry. Escalating this energy demand are artificial intelligence models. Huge, popular models like ChatGPT signal a trend of large-scale artificial intelligence, boosting forecasts that predict data centers will draw up to 21 percent of the world’s…
