Emergency services were called to an address on Seven Acre Close, St Leonards, shortly after 4.30am on June 30.
It followed reports that a man and a woman had been injured.
The bodies of 66-year-old Adrian Horton and 46-year-old Uschi Schild were found inside the property.
As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives are keen to identify and speak with the man shown in CCTV images, as they believe he may have information which could assist their enquiries.
Police said he is being sought solely as a witness and is not suspected of any involvement in the incident.
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said: “Our investigation continues at pace, and we are keen to speak with this man as we believe he may have information that could assist our enquiries.
“I want to stress that he is being sought as a witness and we are not looking for further suspects.
“If you recognise him, or if you are the person shown in the CCTV image, please contact police as soon as possible.”
