Mark Warren, 41, of Blois Road, Lewes, will appear in court accused of failing to provide a breath specimen at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, possession of cannabis and common assault.
The charges relate to September 13, 2026, when police said a car was pursued to Morley Street in Brighton and collided with eight parked vehicles.
He will face trial for all five charges in February next year.
Court documents note that the offence of failing to stop when directed by a police officer took place on Elm Grove.

The dangerous driving charge relates to Richmond Terrace and Morley Street, while the cannabis charge relates to Morley Street, the court register states.
The common assault charge, which Warren denies, alleges that he assaulted a man at Elim Court in Wellington Road, Brighton, on the same day.
Warren was granted conditional bail and was disqualified from driving on an interim basis at a hearing on September 15.
His bail conditions include not entering Elim Court.
Police previously said the car was found near The Level before the driver failed to comply with officers’ instructions and drove away.
The force said a man was detained after police used tactics to stop the vehicle and was taken to hospital before his arrest.
No other injuries were reported, police said.
