Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in Isaacs Lane, Haywards Heath, shortly before 11.25am on Thursday, June 25.
Emergency services are at the scene and the road remains closed while investigation and recovery work takes place.
The drivers of both vehicles have been taken to hospital. The full extent of their injuries is not yet known, Sussex Police said.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact police,” a force spokesman said.
