Drivers have been experiencing long delays after a vehicle caught fire in the Dartford Tunnel.
Motorists were facing tailbacks on the anti-clockwise carriageway from Junction 1A of the M25 (Dartford) to the Swanley Interchange at Junction 3.
The fire caused both lanes to be closed in the left-hand tunnel to close, although the right-hand tunnel, which is the taller of the two, remained open.
National Highways chiefs said drivers were facing about an hour of delays.
However, traffic has since returned to normal.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured following the incident.
