Armed police have been called to a huge emergency response to an incident at a property near a student village this evening.
Six emergency vehicles are currently in Parham Road, which is near the Parham Student Village in Canterbury.

It is not yet clear whether the incident is connected to the student accommodation blocks located in the street.
Five officers have also been spotted, with two operating equipment using a headset at the junction with Sargeants Parade.
Another masked armed officer was seen in the road but witnesses said no cordon has been established in the street, but several officers are standing guard.

Parham Road is home to two student accommodation halls – Canterbury Student Manor and Parham Student Village – and several residential properties.
The sites are popular for students attending the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University.
Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
