A man has been arrested and taken into custody following reports of a rape.
Police have been in the Foxborough Hill area of the village of Woodnesborough, near Sandwich, since yesterday.
A local man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Witnesses on social media have reported seeing forensic teams in the area.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating a report of rape are currently carrying out enquiries at an address near Foxborough Hill in Woodnesborough, near Sandwich.
“A local man in his 30s has been arrested in connection to the incident and he remains in custody pending further enquiries.
“Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection to the report.”
