Officers from The Metropolitan Police, alongside Sussex Police, swooped on Lewes Road in Brighton this evening.
Police confirmed they are searching two addresses in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug supply in London and East Sussex.
Two men, aged in their 30s and 60s, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, police said.
Officers could be seen wearing protective clothing as they conducted their search.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers are conducting searches at two properties in Brighton in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug supply in London and East Sussex. Two men, aged in their 30s and 60s, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. They remain in police custody.”
Sussex Police said prior to The Met issuing a statement: “Our officers are supporting Metropolitan Police officers conducting a drug search at an address on Lewes Rd, Brighton on Thursday evening, May 28.

“Officers entering the address are wearing appropriate protective clothing as a precaution.
“The search is ongoing and at this time there is not believed to be a risk to the wider public.”
The search follows another police incident earlier today that saw a large police presence at StorageMart on the Freshfield Industrial Estate in Brighton.
It is not yet known whether the incidents are linked.
