Gillingham are expected to be in the mix for promotion next season – according to the bookmakers.
Barnet, Rotherham and Port Vale are currently seen as the teams to beat in League Two.

Betfair have priced the Gills at 12/1 to win the title and 7/2 to secure promotion to League One in 2026/27.
Barnet narrowly missed out on the play-offs this season but are fancied to fight for the title along with Rotherham and Port Vale, who were both relegated into the EFL’s basement division.
The three teams are the early 9/1 joint-favourites for the title.
Salford – who lost to Notts County in the play-off final at Wembley – and Chesterfield are next at 10/1, while Steve Evans’ Bristol Rovers, National League champions York City and Grimsby are 11/1 shots.
The Gills head into the new campaign looking to improve on another disappointing season in the fourth tier.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth is to oversee a major summer rebuild after the Gills finished 17th in the table.
In the promotion market, Barnet, Rotherham and Port Vale are 15/8 favourites to go up, ahead of Salford and Chesterfield at 11/5.
Gillingham and Northampton are both priced at 7/2 for promotion, with Swindon at 4/1.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Barnet, Rotherham and Port Vale are the early 9/1 favourites to win League Two next season. Salford and Chesterfield follow at 10/1, with York City 11/1 to win the title.
“The early title frontrunners are also joint favourites to be promoted from the fourth tier, with Swindon, 4/1, amongst the contenders to reach League One ahead of the new campaign.”
Fans will start to get a better idea of the strength of their own team and the opposition once the summer transfer window opens on Monday, June 15. Teams have until 11pm on Tuesday, September 1 to complete their summer recruitment.
The League Two season gets under way on August 14-16.
