A group of youths threw bottles and eggs at the runner
A group of youths threw bottles and eggs at a female jogger at a North Belfast park in an incident being treated as a racially motivated hate crime.
At around 8pm on Monday, May 11, it was reported that the group threw bottles and eggs at the jogger, “striking her on the leg with an egg”, as she ran in the Waterworks area.
Police said the incident is being investigated as a racially motivated hate crime, and they have appealed to anyone with further information to get in touch.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police in North Belfast received a report of an assault on Monday 11th May.
“It was reported that a group of youths threw bottles and eggs at a female jogger, striking her on the leg with an egg, as she ran in the Waterworks area at around 8pm on Monday evening.
“The matter is being treated as a racially motivated hate crime and officers would ask anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any recorded footage from the area which could help with their investigation, to call them at Tennent Street on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1596 11/05/26.
