A marked Ford Focus police car was responding to an emergency call on the westbound A20 London Road yesterday (March 19).
It crashed with a blue Volkswagen Scirocco at the junction with Button Street in Farningham.
Two police officers and a member of the public were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The officers are in a critical condition, while the third person is in a serious condition receiving medical attention.
An investigation is has been launched and and the incident referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
