The Navigator Hotel in Bognor appears on The Hotel Inspector - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates

The Navigator Hotel in Bognor will feature on Channel 5’s The Hotel Inspector on Thursday, March 5, at 9pm.

The premise for the episode, presented by hotelier Alex Polizzi, describes The Navigator as “a once-proud seafront hotel now fighting for survival, with the owner drowning in debt, battling constant leaks and crumbling rooms”.

In a post on social media, the owners of the hotel said they were looking at putting a TV in the hotel bar to allow people to come and watch the show.

The added: “We have not seen it [the show] so hopefully it showcases us and Bognor at their best.

“Thanks to our incredible team who have supported us over the last 17 months since we bought the hotel.”

The Navigator’s appearance will not be the first time a Sussex hotel has made it on to the show.

Last year St Mary’s Gate Inn, a pub and hotel in Arundel, featured on Series 20.

Presenter Alex Polizzi is also no stranger to Sussex, where she owns The Star Hotel, a 29-bed luxury venue in Alfriston.

The Star was previously visited by English tea room expert Reverend Joe Ellis last year, during which he met Ms Polizzi and described the venue’s offering as “exceptional”.

The Navigator is described on its website as offering “breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation”.

It is popular among customers, with a 4.5 out of 5 stars Google rating from more than 600 reviews.

The Hotel Inspector, which is now in its 21st series, was first broadcast in 2005, with Ms Polizzi taking over presenting duties in 2008.
