Children as young as 12-years-old are reportedly involved in the anti-social behaviour incidents
PSNI have assured residents of East Belfast that they are aware of concerns around young people exhibiting anti-social behaviour in the community.
Police announced on social media that children as young as 12-years-old have reportedly been engaging in anti-social behaviour in the Pitt Park and Short Strand areas.
A PSNI post read: “We fully recognise the fear and disruption this has caused to residents and local businesses.

“This behaviour is not acceptable and we are taking it seriously. Our officers are working closely with community leaders to identify those involved and put measures in place to deter further incidents.
“Additional patrols will be carried out in the area and we will continue to engage with those involved and their families. Parents and guardians are asked to check in with your children and be aware of where they are and who they are with.
“We appreciate the support of the community and encourage anyone with information to contact us via 101 or submit a report online. In an emergency, always dial 999.”
