Earlier this afternoon, Blackman Avenue in St Leonards was closed by emergency services following a collision.
The closure between Burden Place and Marline Road remains in place at this time.
Police have since confirmed that a man was declared deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Sussex Police have advised motorists to plan alternative routes to avoid the area.
