The attack happened in Tanyard Bar and Kitchen on Bexley High Street soon after midnight on February 1.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he had the major operation.
Police have released the name and picture of a man – 29-year-old Swanley resident Billy Clarke – who they want to speak to about the incident.
Officers think Billy could help them with their investigation and are appealing for information on his whereabouts.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rodgers, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a very serious assault, in which the victim suffered appalling injuries.
“We believe Billy Clarke may have information that could assist our investigation, and are appealing for anyone who knows of his whereabouts to come forward.”
