Danson Park, Bexley

Known as one of Bexley’s largest parks, spanning more than 180 acres with a large boating lake at its centre, Danson Park came out on top as the borough’s best.
The park is a mix of open grassland, formal gardens, rockeries and woodland, with the historic Danson House overlooking the water.
Reviewers say it’s a park with “lots to do and explore”, particularly for families, thanks to its playgrounds and splash park.
Visitors highlighted the “lovely views” around the lake, especially at sunset, describing evening walks as “spectacular” and good for their wellbeing.
Despite being the borough’s most popular park, several reviewers noted there’s plenty of space to picnic without feeling crowded, calling it a “beautiful” and “massive” park that’s well worth a visit all year round.
High Elms Country Park, Bromley

Visitors often describe it as a “hidden treasure” and a “jewel of Bromley”, praising the peaceful atmosphere and variety of walking routes.
Reviewers said it’s a good spot for dog walkers and families, with space for picnics, cycling and exploring nature.

Greenwich Park, Greenwich

Famously known as London’s oldest enclosed park, Greenwich Park spans six centuries of history and has been the stomping ground for the likes of Elizabeth I.
Set on a hill overlooking the Thames, it offers some of the best views of London, alongside formal gardens next to Ranger’s House, tree-lined avenues and wide open lawns.
In spring, its lines of cherry blossom attract visitors in their droves, while Bridgerton fans visit the park to scope out filming locations such as Ranger’s House and nearby Queen’s House.
Tripadvisor reviewers praised the “amazing” and “beautiful” views from the top of the park, particularly during autumn when the leaves change colour.
Many said the park deserves a “full day” to explore, thanks to nearby attractions including the Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and the Prime Meridian Line.
