The Environment Agency has issued 24 flood alerts across Sussex, two of which indicate flooding is expected.
It comes as a yellow weather warning for heavy rain is in force as Storm Chandra hits the county.
Images show flooding on the A264 near Faygate Roundabout, Horsham, with vehicles forced to drive through the water.

Part of the road also appears to be blocked.
Monkmead Lane in Nutbourne, near Pulborough, is also being impacted by flooding.

Yapton Lane near Barnham is also blocked both ways due to flooding, AA has reported.
The A271 Upper Horsebridge Road in Hailsham is closed both ways from B2104 London Road to Hawks Road.
