Staff from Barchester Healthcare’s care homes and hospitals will ride from Thurso to Glasgow, with the journey set to take place from May 19 to 22.
The journey aims to raise funds for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, which supports older people and adults living with disabilities or mental health conditions by helping them connect with their communities.
For the fifth year running, the challenge will see staff visit 16 care homes and a support office across Barchester’s Scotland and North East division.
Their route will cover Thurso, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh before finishing in Glasgow.
The final stop will be at Four Hills in Ruchill on May 22, where a garden party and refreshments will be offered to supporters.
Gwen McKenzie, general manager at Four Hills, said: “It is going to be a long and tiring four days in the saddle for all concerned which is why we’re asking our local community to come down and support the team on the day.
“We’re hoping to raise lots of money for some great causes.
“We know all the staff, residents, relatives and visitors will get behind the team at each of the homes along the way.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has helped so far, it really has been a real team effort.”
Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, established in 2000, has supported individuals, community groups and small charities for 26 years.
