The Kings Park Hotel in Rutherglen was surrounded by police, fire and ambulance crews from around 11am this morning following a report that a man had died at the premises on Mill Street.
Police have confirmed that the death is being treated as unexplained, with investigations ongoing.

Images provided to the Glasgow Times show that around four fire engines, three ambulances and a significant police presence attended the scene.
Following the incident, members of the public have reported on social media that their reservations at the busy hotel have been cancelled.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 25 January, 2026, we received a report of the death of a man at a hotel in Mill Street, Rutherglen. The death is unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”

The Kings Park Hotel and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
