“Through the efforts of the Rock for Alzheimer’s team over the years we have been able to support hundreds of families”
A Belfast music venue is hoping to hit a total of £90,000 rasied as part of an annual fundraiser for a local charity.
The Empire Music Hall is preparing to host its 13th year of its ‘Rock for Alzheimer’s’ gig on February 14 to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland.

Three amazing bands, AC?DC, the Arms of Venus DeMilo and the Foyer Incident, will once again team up on Saturday, February 14 to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland.
Founded in 2013, Rock for Alzheimer’s was born when a group of local musicians, all of whom had witnessed loved ones living with Alzheimer’s, decided to take action.
A spokesperson said: “In 2017 Rock for Alzheimer’s won Event of the Year at the Dementia Friendly awards. This year organisers are hoping to hit the amazing total of £90,000 with your help.
“AC?DC are Belfast’s finest tribute to the music of AC/DC, and have been leaving audiences thunderstruck for over 25 years. Their show encompasses all eras of the iconic Australian outfit with more high voltage anthems than you can shake a stick at.
“The Arms of Venus are the best rock and indie covers outfit in the country. They’ve been at it for longer than they’d like to mention and regularly play to packed out houses with an energy that leaves audiences crying out for more.
“The Foyer Incident are one half of well-loved party band Meraki and have been opening Rock for Alzheimer’s from the very outset. A brilliant way to kick off any evening.”
Steven Bradley, Entertainment Manager of the Belfast Empire added: ” We’re absolutely buzzing to be back at Rock For Alzheimer’s this February.
“It’s firmly cemented itself as an unmissable date on our calendar, and that’s entirely down to the incredible bands who generously donate their time and talent, and the loyal crowd who turn up year after year, pushing the donations higher every time.
“The effort everyone puts in is nothing short of phenomenal, and we feel genuinely humbled and privileged to play even a small part in it.”
Tickets for the event are available online via Ticketmaster or in person from the Belfast Empire. All proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society NI.
Linzi Stewart, Community Fundraiser from Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland said: “This sort of grassroots effort is exactly what fundraising for Alzheimer’s is all about.
“Events like this give the public the chance to really help out and have a great time doing it.
“Through the efforts of the Rock for Alzheimer’s team over the years we have been able to support hundreds of families and individuals through their journey, and we’d like to thank everyone who contributes to this event.”
Rock for Alzheimer’s 2025 will be held at the Belfast Empire Music Hall on Saturday 14 February, with the doors opening at 8pm
