The clear skies will stretch into the evening, bringing with them colder conditions as temperatures plummet to around 3°C.
However, the dry weather is expected to continue.
Londoners can expect Boxing Day, Friday, December 26, to be dry with sunny intervals throughout the day.
It will be a chilly start to the day with temperatures dipping to around 2–3°C, with the mercury peaking at about 6°C in the afternoon.
As night falls, temperatures will drop again, signalling colder conditions.
Moving into the weekend, more clouds are forecast to sweep across the city on Saturday, December 27.
The cloud cover will be overnight and into the evening, but the day will still witness sunny spells.
Afternoon temperatures are expected to reach 7–8°C.
The last of the current forecast data suggests Sunday, December 28, will stay dry, with similar temperatures as the previous day.
