Hastings Pier, which is owned by Sheikh Abid Gulzar, was served the notice over breaches regarding the use of the ground floor of the visitor centre as a bar, the establishment of a sauna business, and the storage of items outside.
We would like to point out that Samphire Sauna, which is run independently from the pier, continues to operate successfully. The enforcement notice is now not enforced and it is hoped that the retrospective planning application will ensure continued permission for the changes made on the pier.
We would like to point out that Samphire Sauna continues to operate fully legally with the hope that the planning application ensures a resolution over the use of the pier.
