A veteran who will be remembered for his “humour, character of spirit”, and “desire for life” is among those being remembered in the latest death and funeral notices for Kent.
Edward J ‘Eddie’ McArthur passed away in late November. The Belfast-born man was a father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, and a veteran. May he rest in peace.

Brenda Joyce FANCETT
Brenda Joyce Fancett sadly passed away on November 19, 2025, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The funeral shall take place on December 18, 2025 at Vinters Park Crematorium, 1pm. Donations if desired to Cancer Research UK.
Pauline Ann FROMANT
Pauline Ann Fromant passed away at Highfields Care Home, Bekesbourne on October 27, 2025, aged 86 years. She was much loved and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Margaret KEYSER-WELLER
Margaret Keyser-Weller passed away peacefully, aged 89. Margaret will be greatly missed by her Family and Friends.

Douglas lived in Broadstairs and passed away peacefully at QEQM Hospital. Funeral to take place at Thanet Crematorium on Thursday, December 18 at 11am. The family have requested no flowers but should you so desire to make a donation for the benefit of Asthma UK c/o Gore Brothers
Leonard Stuart MAYES
Leonard Mayes passed away in Chestfield House Care Home on November 14, 2025, aged 95 years. He was much loved and will be Sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Edward J (Eddie) MCARTHUR
It is with deep sorrow that news of the passing of Eddie J ‘Eddie’ McArthur, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, family, and veteran, who left us on November 29, 2025.
He is remembered as an individual with humour, character of spirit, a proud sapper, with a desire for life. Eddie was born in April 1949, as the youngest of 8 in Belfast and experienced a life across the world although drawn in recent years to return to his home and family in Northern Ireland.
Richard SCOTT
Richard, sadly passed away on November 30, 2025, aged 70 Years. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
Richard’s cremation service will take place at Herne Bay Crematorium on Monday, December 29 at 12pm. Family flowers only by request. Liam Terence THURGAR
Liam sadly passed away on November 19, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories as a much loved dad, grandad and friend. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
His funeral service will be held at Thanet Crematorium on Thursday, December 18 at 1pm. The family kindly request donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be made at the service via the collection box on the day. These will be split between two charities, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and RSPB.
John Hamlet UNDERDOWN
John sadly passed away on November 29, 2025, aged 102 years. His funeral will be taking place on Friday, December 19 at Herne Bay Crematorium at 10am. All those who knew John are welcome to attend.
