Emergency services responded to an address on Summertown Road in the city’s Southside after the alarm was raised at around 10.50am on Friday.
Crews say they received reports of a lithium battery overheating within a property in the area.
Following this, operations control mobilised four pumping appliances and a specialist appliance to the property.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that the battery was removed and cooled down.

It is understood there were no casualties, and crews left around three hours later.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We received a call at around 10.50am on Friday, December 12, 2025, to reports of a lithium battery overheating within a property on Summertown Road, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised four pumping appliances and a specialist appliance to the scene. The battery was removed from the property into the fresh air to cool down.
“There were no casualties and crews left at around 2.30pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
