Rebecca Holdham, 38, known as Becky, was last seen on Sunday, September 7 – sparking a large-scale search.
On Sunday afternoon, Sussex Police confirmed a body had been found.
A force spokeswoman said: “Sadly, the body of a woman has been found today (14 September) in Hassocks.
“The family of missing Rebecca Holdham have been informed, and they continue to be supported by our officers.
“Enquiries are ongoing to confirm the woman’s identity.”
A large police cordon is in place and forensic searches are ongoing.
Becky left her home in Ockley Park estate in Hassocks, West Sussex at around 10am on Sunday (September 7).
Since then, drones, dogs and a police helicopter were used to search fields and woods around the village.
Her friends and family also got involved in the search, putting up flyers and organising their own searches.
One such search was set to take place tomorrow morning from 10am at the Thatched Inn in Hassocks.
Becky was previously described as a “devoted mum” by her friend Kerry Malby.
