Riders gathered on Madeira Drive, in Brighton, as part of The Ace Café Reunion.

The event celebrates the history, culture and style of Ace Cafe London – a famous bikers’ café off London’s North Circular Road.

The café was built in the 1930s for hauliers but was later used as a gathering place for motorcyclists in the post-war rock ‘n’ roll culture.

It closed in 1969 but made a comeback in 1994 with its first reunion.

The three-day reunion saw events take place across the weekend.

On Friday and Saturday (September 5 and 6), events took place at the Ace café in London. These included a ‘bike night’ and ‘café racer ride out’.

On Sunday (September 7), riders joined in on the ‘Brighton burn up’, departing from the Ace at 10.30am and travelling to Brighton.

The day included prizes for the best café racer and best scooter, as well as stands and displays along the seafront.

During the afternoon, there will be performances on the seafront Ace stage.

Last year marked the reunion’s 30th anniversary, as well as six decades since the famous seaside clashes in 1964 between the Mods and Rockers.
