Tens of thousands of people descended on the city to enjoy the parade, followed by the street party and festival at Preston Park, which is being headlined by Mariah Carey.
The Brighton i360 threw a pride party with Attitude magazine, allowing guests a panoramic view of the parade from 450ft in the air.
Guest attendees included gold medal-winning Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes, Brit Award nominee Caity Baiser and TV personality Rob Rinder, who was there to support i360 owner and former Dragon on Dragons’ Den, Sarah Willingham.
Others who were there included Bradley Riches from Netflix show Heartstopper, Danny Beard of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Celebrity Big Brother fame, along with fellow drag race stars Ella Vaday, Cheryl Hole and River Medway.
Faye Greaves from The Traitors and Lisha Paige from I Kissed A Girl also showed up along with cast members from partner show I Kissed a Boy including Lars Fellos, Jordan Burrows, Jack Doherty, Jack Smith and Ruben Bø Dower.
After cocktails and bacon rolls from 10.30am, at 11.15am a drag queen appeared on top of the i360 pod, drawing huge attention from the passing parade, singing back-to-back Pride hits and performing with her saxophone.
She finished with the song Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked as the pod ascended into the sky during the key parts of the song.
At 12pm, guests entered the pod for views of the parade.
