Saturday’s beautiful show at the end of Worthing Pier, put on by charity Worthing Lions, had residents craning their necks along the town’s Marine Parade and on the beach to watch the colourful bonanza.

The dazzling annual display was part of the Worthing Lions’s Summer Festival, which also saw a classic vehicle show in Steyne Gardens.

Worthing Lions puts on a variety of events for the community including the popular Bonfire Night fireworks display in November.

The last November display had to be cancelled due to Worthing Pier being unsafe at the time.

Worthing Borough Council’s engineers identified that a pier support had suffered storm damage.

The pier reopened in December.
