Antony Gad, 22, and Robin Paige, 22, appeared as co-defendants at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday, July 23.

The court heard that “nearly £1,500 in cash” was found in a car as well as drugs worth £2,400, including wraps of heroin.

Four phones were also found inside the car.

The two men, who both live in Brighton, were charged with a number of drug offences, including the possession and supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Gad was also charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, the use of a vehicle without insurance and obstructing and resisting a police constable.

The case was sent to crown court and Gad and Paige were remanded into custody.

The pair are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on August 20 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
