Police have arrested four people on suspicion of fraud.
Armed police were seen in Chichester city centre, on Southgate near Avenue de Chartres, this afternoon (July 23).
Sussex Police confirmed this was part of a raid being carried out nearby which saw four people arrested.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Police officers executed a warrant at an address in Southgate, Chichester today as part of an ongoing fraud investigation.
“Four people were arrested on suspicion of fraud related offences and remain in police custody at this time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this stage.”
This follows a man being stabbed in an alleyway in the city near Exton Road which has sparked a police manhunt for the suspect.
