Gillingham have unveiled a striking new home kit for the 2025/26 season.
With main club sponsors MEMS Power Generation back on the front of the playing kit, the Gills have incorporated lightning bolts into the design, running through from shirt to shorts.
The Gills have been teasing fans for some time over the new designs and enlisted players Shad Ogie, Joe Gbode and Aaron Rowe into the promotional video, complete with dance moves that caused a stir midway through last season.
Some fans were angered at the players having fun in the club gym during a tough period of results last season, while John Coleman was in charge, following the leaked release of a video of the boys dancing infront of the camera.
The home kit promo video was filmed this week at the MEMS’ Gillingham headquarters off Beechings Way.
New replica kits will be available to buy in the club shop this Friday, from 12pm, with the store staying open late, until 8pm. Players Sam Gale and Euan Williams will be there too, at 5pm. Saturday opening is between 9am-12pm.
Home, away and third kits will all be new for the 2025/26 season with the Gills selling off old stock in the last few weeks at bargain prices.
Gillingham have yet to announce prices of the new replica kits.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth said earlier this week that he had no input, saying: “As a colour blind manager, I don’t take an interest too much in the kits – as long as there isn’t red and green in it!
“I have so much more to worry about!
“I’ve seen the kits – we have an American owner and we have to embrace that!
“He wants Gillingham to be known around the world and that’s brilliant, the kits help us.”
