Youngster Josh Taplin was found dead inside a house in the city’s Knightswood area on Monday, May 5.

The 28-year-old’s body was discovered in a property on Caldwell Avenue after cops were alerted to a report of a concern for a person. 

Officers were called to the incident at around 3.35pm. After arriving at the scene, tragically, the body of a man, who was later named as Josh, was found inside the home.

It is understood that the young lad was stabbed. Following that, detectives from Police Scotland‘s Major Investigation Team launched an urgent murder inquiry, with the hunt for a killer underway.

Now, the force has revealed they are following a ‘positive line of enquiry’ amid the investigation into Josh’s death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are following a positive line of enquiry.”

We reported how a 41-year-old woman was also found injured in the Caldwell Avenue area following the incident.

She was rushed to hospital for treatment, however, she was later released.

It is believed that the woman was injured inside the same house where Josh was found.
