Traffic Scotland said lanes three and four of the motorway’s southbound carriageway at Junction 5 (Raith Interchange) are currently shut due to a crash.
The road firm has said police are on the scene of the collision. At the moment, it is unknown if anyone has been injured during it.
Due to the crash, road users are being warned to expect a 20-minute delay in the area.
