The distressing incident took place in Hope Street yesterday afternoon (February 25).
According to an eyewitness, the man suffered a head wound and was helped by members of the public until the emergency services arrived.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 2.06pm on February 25 to attend an incident on Hope Street, Glasgow.
“Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
