The Bombay – a family run restaurant of 41 years in Orpington – will be opening its second restaurant in Swanley in March this year.

The business is run by brothers Kobir, Shah and Mj Hussain, serving up traditional Indian fare ranging from masala to tandoori dishes.

Over the years the restaurant has won numerous awards including Best Restaurant – London Suburbs category at the Asian Curry Awards 2024.

Located on Swanley High Street, the new restaurant will seat 96 people in a stylish dining space, along with an open bar.

Owner Mj confirmed that the restaurant is set to open sometime in mid-March, with a date set to be announced soon.

The opening night will also feature entertainment, including fire performers, magicians and dancers to welcome in the new restaurant.

Mj added: “We are really pleased with how fast work is progressing and really excited to welcome guests very soon. We are looking forward to opening up our second branch and can’t wait to serve our guest in Swanley and it’s surrounding area.

“Once the door opens, our guest can expect delicious, high quality meals that are sure to satisfy diners and make them come back for more. In additional to food, guest will soon be able to tipple on ice-cold cocktails at the dinner table or at the bar.”
