The closures are for public safety during the event and will affect several key routes in the town on Sunday, March 2.

These include the A225 Hawley Road, Powder Mill Lane, Warwick Way, and A296 Park Road, among others.

The closures will start at different times, with the earliest beginning at 8.45am and the latest ending at 12.15pm.

Some roads will be entirely closed, while others will have restrictions such as no right turns.

For example, the A225 Hawley Road southbound from B258 Church Hill to Arnolds Lane will be closed from 8.45am to 9.45am.

Powder Mill Lane and Warwick Way will be closed for their full lengths from 8.45am to 9.25am.

Park Road, Pilgrims Way, and Downs Avenue will be closed from 8.55am to 12.05pm.

Brent Lane, from Downs Avenue to Darenth Road, will be closed from 8.55am to 12.15pm.

Lunedale Road, from Gore Road to Teesdale Road, and Princes Avenue will be closed from 8.50am to 11.55am.

Oakwood Close will be closed from 8.50am to midday.

Parsonage Lane/Darenth Hill and Roman Villa Road will be closed from 8.45am to 9.50am and 10.10am respectively.

Shrubbery Road will also be closed from 8.45am to 10.10am.

St Margaret’s Road, Holmesdale Hill, from Shrubbery Road to Gill’s Road, Rabbits Road, Gill’s Road, and Wilson Lane will be closed from 8.50am to 11.15am.

The B260 Green Street Green Road northbound from Canada Farm Road to B260 Trolling Down Hill and B260 Watchgate northbound will be closed from 8.50am to 11.35am.

Canada Farm Road, from B260 Green Street Green Road to Rabbits Road, will be closed from 8.50am to 10.40am.

Darenth Road, from Dene Road to Brent Lane, will be closed from 8.55am to 12.15pm.

A number of roads will also have restrictions, such as no right turns.

These include B258 Church Hill, Timber Mews, Warren Road, Mill Road, Shirehall Road, Ladywood Road, Hill Rise, Bennett Way, Wood Lane, and Shellbank Lane.

Diversions will be put in place for all closed roads, with signs indicating the alternate routes.

For instance, the A225 Hawley Road diversion will follow B258 Church Hill, B258 High Road, B258 Barn End Lane, B258 Top Dartford Road, B258 Main Road, B258 Swanley Lane, B258 High Street, B2173 London Road, A20 London Road, A225 Dartford Road, and A225 Main Road.

The Powder Mill Lane and Warwick Way diversions will not be available as these are no through roads.

The restrictions and prohibitions will only apply in the directions and at the times indicated by traffic signs in operation.

The order does not apply to vehicles used for ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, fire brigade, or police services.

It also does not apply to anything done by a statutory undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair, or anything done with the permission or at the direction of an event organiser or a police constable in uniform.
