Sussex Police said two men were seen removing goods from Hove Vape Shop in Church Road and into a black vehicle, before leaving the scene at around 6am this morning.
The force warned there will be a heightened police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “We are hoping to identify further key witness and CCTV opportunities, and ask that if you have anything to report, you contact police.
“Reports can be made online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 192 of 14/02.”
