Police Scotland says they were called to the supermarket in Knightswood on Anniesland Road at around 12.15pm today following reports of a disturbance.
Three police cars and an ambulance were spotted by passers-by on the road.
A 37-year-old man has since been taken to hospital for treatment.
The Tesco store was closed for around 30 minutes during the incident but is believed to now be trading as normal.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.15pm on Tuesday, February 11 2025, we were called to a report of a disturbance in the Anniesland Road area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
