Emergency services have been battling flames at a tip after a large fire last night.
The blaze at Ashford’s waste recycling centre on Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate is believed to have started at about 9.15pm.
A witness at the scene says the inferno is in a skip at the facility, and crews were seen driving in at about 9.25pm.
Pictures show plumes of smoke billowing from the centre.
It is the second incident at the site in four months after a small explosion saw it close for a whole day in October.
The fire service and Kent County Council, which runs the tip, have been contacted for further information.
