The crash around 2pm today (January 27) was reported by the AA to have involved two lorries causing severe delays.
At the time of writing the northbound west bore tunnel at the Dartford Crossing remains closed.

As of around 5pm there were two hours of congestion before J3 (M20 Swanley interchange) with delays through Dartford, Stone and Darenth, with heavy traffic along local routes.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at approximately 14:02 this afternoon (27/01/25) to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC in the Dartford Tunnel.
“Crews assessed and treated six patients at the scene before conveying five of them to local hospitals for further medical treatment.”
A National Highways spokesperson said: “The west bore tunnel at the Dartford Crossing remains closed following a collision just before 2pm.
“All vehicles are being diverted through the east bore tunnel.
“Long delays are expected in the area throughout the afternoon, with drivers advised to allow extra time for their journeys.”
The police have been contacted for comment but have not yet responded.
