It left them “depressed” by the sight of the piles of rubbish and demanded urgent action, which was soon carried out after the Glasgow Times contacted the council.
However not all the waste was scooped up leaving residents “utterly disgusted”.
One resident said: “The bin men have been but left a disgusting mess behind.
“They didn’t even touch the bin shed so can’t even enter it because it is full of bags.
“They’ve just left the bins in the centre of the back court, including one without a lid.
“Food waste was everywhere. Utterly disgusted at this outcome.”

Residents reported the matter to the council who apologised and returned to the area to clear the remaining waste.
The local authority told the Glasgow Times they were sorry for the inconvenience caused which caused delays.
The area has now been cleared and residents are hoping it resolves the rat infestation in the area.
Last week a spokesman for the council said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delay to collections at this address, which followed the recent public holidays over the festive season.
“Due to the delay to collections at this address, we will return and remove any of the remaining waste.”
