Robert McGowan, a street performer better known as ‘Robert the Robot’, will perform a show on February 1 in aid of Help The Homeless Glasgow.
It will take place on Miller Street between 11am and 4pm in front of Robert’s own mural—painted by city artist Rogue Oner.

A post shared to Help The Homeless Glasgow’s Facebook page reads: “On Saturday, February 1 a Glasgow icon also known as Robert the Robot will be back on the streets performing on behalf of our wee group.
“Many of you will remember Robert from the 90s. I can and still have nightmares. It’s an amazing gesture from a true Glasgow legend.
“Please come along and grab a picture and show your support. Massive thanks once again to Robert McGowan.
“Hope to see you all there.”

Robert the Robot was a familiar sight on Argyle Street during the 1980s and 1990s when he performed his famous silent raves.
Next month, he will be showing his support for Help The Homeless Glasgow, a volunteer-run community group that runs various projects to help those experiencing homelessness in the city.
