The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert until tomorrow (January 7), covering a number of locations along the River Darent in Kent between Dartford and Westerham.

The Environment Agency has warned of the potential flooding of roads and low lying lands in areas covered by the flood alert, however property flooding is not expected.
This follows on from heavy rainfall over the weekend, with further rain expected today (January 6).
What to do
People are being advised to avoid low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses either by car or on foot.
Further updates are expected this evening as the agency continues to monitor water levels along the River Darent.
