Time and Plaice Dartford – a popular fish and chip shop – received an award for the Best Owner-Managed Business in the category of Hospitality Sector at the Dartford Business Awards run by Dartford Council.

The business was one of seven that won the award, judged based on three sectors – hospitality, service and retail.

The business has garnered a 4.1-star rating on Google based on 459 reviews, with reviewer Matthew Strathearn describing the business as “the best chip shop in town” on account of the “friendly staff” and “welcoming” atmosphere.

Another reviewer, Milan Urope, praised the restaurant for its “crispy” cod along with the diverse mix of other dishes like curry, with “reasonable prices”.

Reviewer Ashish Paudel also gave the business high praise, commenting on the “awesome” staff and “nice and cosy” ambience.
